Whimsical Sewing Projects
These small simple hand sewing patterns have been created to inspire children; to encourage them to exercise their own imagination, create their own toys, and, in the process, increase their manual dexterity and the brain power that goes with it.
These patterns are meant to give children ( and all who use them) confidence that they can make something worth keeping, playing with, or giving as a gift -something they can share with younger siblings or friends.
Also, these patterns can be great fun for anyone who has the love of whimsy, to create toys, mobiles, ornaments and gifts for loved ones or those in need. Unlike most other toys, these are all handmade and individual - the best of gifts and therefore priceless!
The materials required are simple and inexpensive: Felt scraps, a needle (I recommend a thimble too), embroidery floss, and some stuffing.
Many patterns are simple enough to make in an hour making them a wonderful after school or "play date" project. For youngest children, cutting the pattern pieces before hand and putting together "kits" is a great idea, especially for groups or theme parties like birthdays, Christmas or other holidays.
Each pattern includes full-size pattern and illustrated instructions enclosed in a cellophane envelope to keep cut pattern pieces and instructions for easy storage and reuse.
